Hyderabad, April 14, 2014: Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, TRS Chevella Lok Sabha Candidate garlanded the statue of Dr B.R. Ambedkar on his birth anniversary, at Rajendranagar and paid rich tributes to him by stating that the ideology, lofty values and ideals Dr Ambedkar stood for has more relevance even today and it can never diminish. Citing an example, Reddy said, he was a great visionary, his enshrining Article 3 in the constitution is an apt case of his foresight while framing the constitution. He had foreseen disputes in bifurcation of states and gave clear guidelines through Article 3, seventy years ago. It would have been next to impossible for us to achieve Telangana without this article, Vishweshwar Reddy pointed out.
Elaborating further Vishweshwar Reddy said, democracy means prevalence of majority opinion, but Sri Ambedkar protected the rights of the minority by incorporating article 3 in the constituency. In the united Andhra Pradesh the Seemandhra public representatives both from ruling and opposition connived together to deprive Telangana what was rightfully its, since they formed the majority. Article 3 ensured fruition of our struggle for Telangana, despite being in a minority, Reddy added.
Vishweswar Reddy said, all Telanganites will remember the father of the Indian constitution with gratitude for making ourselves the masters of our destiny. Our party TRS will ensure equitable rights and development of SCs, STs and deprived sections in Telangana. The golden era for these sections will begin with the formation of TRS government in the state, he added.
